We’ve been working with application developers to help them take advantage of the telco edge cloud since our inception, and we work with and support those developers across a variety of communication methods and online communities, including Twitter, email, and via the MobiledgeX blog.
Today we’re announcing a new MobiledgeX developer community on Discord, where we’re encouraging developers to join and explore how they can leverage 5G and the telco edge cloud to build the latest edge use cases, from AR / VR to drones and cloud gaming.
Why is MobiledgeX on Discord?
We’ve always placed a high priority on enabling developers that use our MobiledgeX Edge-Cloud platform, and we’ve found that Discord has become an increasingly popular channel for developers to share information and ideas, not only with our team but also with other developers.
“To build the edge, we need many bright and talented innovators collaborating and bouncing ideas off each other,” says Vasanth Mohan (@fusedvr), the lead developer advocate for MobiledgeX. “Feedback from developers is absolutely vital to help make the MobiledgeX Edge-Cloud platform simple and intuitive to build scalable solutions for hard to solve problems.”
What the MobiledgeX Discord offers Developers
Our new Discord server offers a number of advantages for developers, including getting the earliest possible access to the MobiledgeX Edge-Cloud platform (and supporting SDKs). If you have questions about our using our samples -- like on Edge Multiplay for Multiplayer or Computer Vision -- you can chat directly with our sample apps team to get answers to questions and suggest new features.
The MobiledgeX developer community is already heavily involved in developing applications that take advantage of the telco edge cloud, and this will give you the opportunity to learn from and engage with developers who are already building edge computing solutions.
